The Great Myth: A scouting agent is going to see me in action and offer me a full ride. The reality is far from this. Very few athletes end up in college this way. The fact is you need to aggressively market yourselves to the right coaches at the right colleges for you.

This is where working with a SportsWorx Advisor really pays off...they will:

• Guide you through the many tasks that need to be accomplished during each phase of your high school career.
• Provide the means to effectively research potential colleges; athletically, academically, and socially.
• Ensure the schools offer your educational preferences.
• Research athletic programs and evaluate players at each position (i.e. size, speed - if available, stats, etc.).
• Provide information on when and how coaches can recruit and what you are able to do to initiate contact.
• Obtain coach contact information.
• Research and evaluate opportunities to be seen by coaches - camps, showcases, unofficial visits, etc.
• Help formulate effective video presentations to make coaches aware of your abilities.
• Formulate correspondence indicating that some evaluation has occurred by the family and telling why we feel you can contribute to the team.
• Follow up phone calls are made to the coach to make sure they received the correspondence and hopefully get the ball rolling.
• Provide the discipline and structure to make sure each of these tasks are completed in an effective and timely manner.
